The scary and eerie non-diegetic music that starts at the beginning creates tension and suspense, and keeps the audience on the edge of their seat, like some new terror is just around the corner. Next, the very long shots and high angle shots of the car, alone, driving through he mountain roads, makes them look very small and vulnerable, makes them look like they are being watched, and also enhances the feeling of uneasyness. From these things, we can very easily tell that this is a thriller.
