Second concept for a music video

Sam Smith is a British singer/songwriter, he became known when he sang on Disclosure's song Latch. However this song that I am reviewing is the acoustic version. The original song is faster and aimed at a bigger audience, however this song is not as well known and it is a slower and more dramatic version, which is aimed at a more alternative audience.

When I watched the video of Alt J, the song breeze blocks, I felt drawn to it as it was edited so that the video was backwards. I like the idea of this and therefore I though I could interpret this into this video. I would begin this video with a boy crying with marks on his face. This would then move to him in a room smashing things around, based on the video (wrecking ball). With editing and camera shots I could make it in slow motion, therefor this could look interesting and appealing. It would also mean that the audience could be drawn into the character and feel sympathetic towards him. We would then move to a shot with the boy fighting with another boy, they would be young boys, at the age of perhaps 18. Therefore this would take place in a school area. where other kids are surrounding the two boys fighting and encouraging the fight. There would be shots here that would also be in slow motion to emphasise the fight. This would then move to them shouting at each other. This then moves to a video of the two boys being close together. All the action that takes place it played backwards.

Another video like this is The scientist by Coldplay where the whole video is played back wards.
